This excellent book open the eyes to a new approach in life. It is very helpful for changing your paradigm.
This book is not among the worst, however, and through it all the author manages to convey a powerful message: Through mindful work it IS possible to change crabby habits of mind into more constructive ones. As a Norwegian, not used to using the big words, the style of american books can be perceived as somewhat noisy and annoying at times. I think this book gives some good tools for making such transformations.
No matter roles you play - parent, manager, CEO, friend, spouse - your questions influence your ability to respond to the challenges around you and build effective relationships. This book's simple message has profound implications. Marilee Adams provides a path to the questions that lead to the experiences we all desire.
It is simply written, but its impact is tremendous. I would highly recommend it to clients and Coaches. This book provides insightful questions and highlights the many opportunities we have to make productive choices in our day to day lives. As a Life Coach, it is questions that lay the groundwork for revelations and breakthroughs for clients. It effectively captures the impact and power of asking questions that open the door to understanding, new ideas, broader concepts, possibilities and innovation. Change Your Questions, Change Your Life provides powerful life lessons told in a relatable story. It provides a process for recognizing communication pitfalls and a way to navigate back to healthy and meaningful dialogue. Marilee has done an outstanding job providing a framework for the path to chose or react.
If you're a college student with no relevant work experience, this book may provide some insight on the relevance of analytical thinking in the framework of questions. The topic of this book is interesting, but it really offers little insight for anyone with an established career. For those with any experience, the book is great for a coffee coaster.
